Hello,

My name is Sandy Lewis Thrasher.  I am a Dairyman's daughter and my Momma was the "EVERYTHING  WOman"!  She took care of Daddy and me, the house, meals, animals; helped at the dairy barn and in the field.  She has always been my Hero!  My Daddy was the hardest working man I have ever met.  He worked from before the sun woke the roosters and didn't call it a day until after "dark thirty"!  (That's 30 minutes after dark!)  He would be at the dairy barn by 4:00am, then home with a fresh jug of the coldest milk you can imagine, which he stuck against my side to get me up!  Let me tell you, that was an eye opener!!  My Momma had breakfast ready and we ate breakfast TOGETHER!  He then went to the field where he worked until 4:30 when he would go back to the dairy barn.  When he was through milking around 100 cows he would go back to the field where he worked until...you guessed it, "Dark 30"!!

I am the wife of the most wonderful man, maybe even moreso than my Daddy!!  He is a Network Engineer Manager and works long hours guiding his team through delicate, stressful situations.  I am so very proud to be married to him!  Just like my Daddy, the words CAN'T or QUIT are not in his dictionary!  My husband, Steve, is truly a gift from God!

We live on a six-generation, 510-acre farm/ranch where four generations live, work and enjoy being together in the country surrounded by farm animals, beautiful oak and pine trees, and babbling brooks.
I raise dairy and beef heifers and enjoy being out with my bovine girls. (A Dairyman's Daughter!)  One of my favorite things to do is baking cakes and decorating them with intricate details. I also have developed a passion for decorating sugar cookies!  I am a Cottage Baker and got my LLC March of 2024.

My love for cakes started with my first son’s 1st birthday, Rusty. (1979)  His birthday cake was very plain and simple (but delicious), Praline Pecan Picnic Cake from Tina In The Kitchen Cookbook.  Every year, his cake had to be more creative.  Then along came sister #1, Jaime; of course, hers had to top his. Then little brother, Chris, and his had to be BETTER, but before long he preferred cookies to cake!  Then brother #2, David, … and sister #2, Ashli …  Well, you get the drift.  To my five kids, I have added 8 grandkids and 3 great-grands!…  And each one has added to this Saga!

If you look at my website, you can see how it morphed from that simple Picnic Cake to a five-tier wedding cake, sugar flowers, modeling chocolate animals, the Millennium Falcon, a Fire Station with Firetrucks, a Fireman’s Helmet…

I am very excited about learning new techniques to create something to make your Sugar Dreams come true!

Thanks for reading and checking me out!  God bless you!!
